Digital Signage ClariView Launches Advertising Display with Integrated Stand.

ClariView in recent times had been getting a large amount of requests from clients seeking a stand with our wall mounted display, as they wanted a simple solution but did not wish to wall mount.

This was due to a number of reasons, the floor stands currently on the market are very costly and they don’t always meet the needs of the client, in addition they do not match the look of the display.

We developed our wall mounted display with an integrated floor stand, to meet the needs of our clients, increasing demand means we have to supply.

The wall mounted display has on a number of occasions been utilised as an exhibition screen, number of our clients for taking their advertising displays to exhibitions but found mounting them on the wall not the best solution. We were asked to supply separate stands, but as we are a digital signage manufacturer and not a stand manufacturer we felt we would design and manufacture a completely new line of digital signage solutions for the job.

Wall mounted Touch Screen Display

Recently ClariView limited has found people still find difficulty in understanding the main types of signage, writing this article on the basics of digital signage for beginners was our way of supporting our clients and the industry. In a way it can be said, this is a quick start guide or a dummies guide to digital signage.

ClariView limited itself deals mainly within hardware, the software aspect of digital signage is a big industry in itself. Seeing the growth within hardware digital signage software companies have to keep up and move with the ever growing and innovative hardware which is being developed.

The main types of hardware can be separated as external digital signage players, Network Players, Wall Mounted LCD Displays, and Floor Standing LCD digital Posters, LED Video Walls, and as a leading player and what ClariView specialise in Touch screen Interactive Displays.
The two main types of display hardware are wall mounted displays, floor standing displays.

Wall mounted displays – displays which can be mounted on to the wall in either portrait or landscape.

Freestanding Floor Displays – These displays require no mounting making them a very mobile unit. Can be placed anywhere within reach of a power socket.

The other main difference is the player, or the method of playing content this depends on requirements the main types are.

Plug & Play Digital Signage Media Players: These provide a simple solution, and are ideal for users who want to upload pictures video and music easily via USB. You just upload your content to the player Via USB and the player will play them in the order they appear on the USB.

Network Media Digital Signage Players: These are similar to the simple plug and play media players but these allow users to upload content remotely to the player.

Computers: this is for the more complex user who has an application they want to run on the display, but ideally this is used alongside the touch screen interactive displays. All ClariView Touch Screen Interactive Digital Signage come complete with an integrated computer.

Outdoor signage market is taken with LED displays. These used for advertising billboards create a impressive look. Advertising companies have utilised LED technology to replace static billboards. Allowing for videos to be played to viewers. The content can be changed quickly and easily at the touch clock of a mouse.

Digital Signage - New Age Media

Many business may still be missing out on the opportunities that arise from digital signage solutions, many organisation may still not realise the power in this medium of advertising.

Digital signage is ever becoming a norm, signage investment brings about immense opportunities to businesses, but to those who have not realised the potential in digital signage they truly are missing out on a form of advertising which is more effective than print, TV, Online media, Newspapers and many other forms of advertising.

Create a “Buzz”

This is mainly due to digital signage being a cost effective and powerful form of advertising, with consumers being entangled with TV adds this medium which takes much from the TV, is far more effective, the displays themselves are intriguing and form a the basis upon which the viewer takes a first glance, they create a “Buzz” wherever they are seen. Walk into any shopping centre and you shall see people crowded around these displays. They have grandeur about them which no other form of advertising can compete against.

The two main forms of digital signage are wall or ceiling mounting displays or free standing displays, both being powerful forms of advertising in their own right. The free standing displays are spectacular to look at. The vertically mounted display in shiny toughened glass housing, they resemble nothing which anyone would have seen before.

“Plasma TV’s are not designed for 24/7 public usage”

Specifically designed as public displays, Many organisations embarking on their first journey of implementing digital signage will presume they require a Plasma TV with a DVD/Computer, this is NOT effective and expensive, Plasma TV’s are not designed for 24/7 public usage, they have no toughened glass front to take any impact which they would be taking on a daily basis as a public display.

TV’s are not designed to stay on 24 hours; they have no internal players and require expensive bulky external players which in the first instance have to be hidden from view which can be a task in itself.
On the other hand digital signage displays require no external players, being integrated with a smart powerful player. The toughened glass front ensures the display panel itself is not at any risk of being damaged.

As a form of digital signage Plasma TV’s would only last a fraction of the time that a dedicated digital signage display would before breaking down or faults occur within the display. One of the major reasons of this would be the overheating of a plasma TV, digital signage displays ensure they stay at a constant temperature at all times with extra coolant devices within the display. With all the extra features which aren’t required within a digital signage solution such as the terrestrial or digital television, they are more prone to overheating and faults within their power supply when utilised as a digital signage solution.

Looking at some of the digital signage displays currently in the market including our own, it can clearly be seen that the traditional look of a TV is a product of yesterday, newer models require no mounting, and they are freestanding displays which can be personalised towards any requirements. The Digital Signage displays of today are seen with touch screen panel and integrated with powerful computers to allow a more versatile Digital signage player.
